ATHLETIC DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE Welcome to the Athletics pages of the Fort Lauderdale Flying L's! First let me say how honored and humbled I am to represent such a fine school, dedicated teachers/staff, committed coaches, and most of all our amazing student athletes. Our coaches and staff here at Fort Lauderdale High School are committed to developing and establishing well-rounded student athletes. We believe, that while our student athletes are under our care, we should and will help them learn valuable lessons that they can use not just on the field of play, but also in the classroom and into life beyond high school. We believe to be part of a team we must all do our part to come together and supply our student athletes with a sense of family, community, and L pride. We would like nothing better and strive every day to keep our student athletes happy, humble, and hungry for succes on and off the field. We will work hard, we will play hard, and have fun while ultimately reaching our goals together. Sucess will be defined by reaching our full potential as a team, by being prepared on the field of play and in the classroom, and always being proud to be a Flying L. You, as a Fort Lauderdale High School student-athlete, should take pride in yourself as a student, your team, your school, and your community. You are some of our greatest ambassadors. Once you put on that Flying L jersey, you represent more than yourself. You represent yourself, your family, your coaches, your team, your school, and your community. We ask you to strive to be a leader and conduct yourself in a manner that ensures success while attending Fort Lauderdale High School. Thank you parents, teachers, administrators, and community at large for your support of the Flying L's. Without you we would be nothing. Always remeber and say it with pride.
